Knitting update

Oh hey, look who's back for a post! Heh.

Ok, Cookie, here's the pic of my new yarn that was gifted to me by my SP 10 Angel (ya kow, because my spoiler vanished off the face of the Earth :( )

The picture does not do it justice, i'm telling you. It's super cool with a wonderful blend of one of my favorite color combinations. Oh when, oh when can i cast on?

Now, i bring you two other finished items...the drum covers. I'm more happy with the blue-ish cover, it had the right amount of decreases for tapering...the brown-ish cover is not as form fitting. Both covers serve to protect the drums from dust and give them a bit of protection from damage...and that's what i was aiming for.

And now, here's some progress on a few other projects...

My socklettes, one sock done and now in hibernation to get the following items done...

A Big Black Soldier Sock for Soldier Patrick of the hot air balloon chase in April...

A pair of Soldier Leisure socks made out of SFS Member - Joy's lovely hand dyed yarn.

And the never ending black hole of St st on Deb's vest...i'm sure it will be 16" some day. sigh.

And there's your oh so exciting knitting update. :)

Happy Sunday!

I love the yarn! Any ideas of what it will be.

I love that purpley sock, what is that!

You been doing a lot and I have not.

Work on the vest on your computer when you are reading blogs. You won't even know you are doing it, and it'll be 16 inches in no time. Should I point out that Deb seems to have a longer torso like me and may perfer that you go for 17 inches? Naaaaa! ;)

Fabulous color! Are you thinking about a sock pattern yet?

I hate people who join swaps, get their package and disappear. I think we need a master list of all the people who have done that and make sure they are not allowed to join other swaps. Not that I have an opinion or anything. *L*

Man! You've been busy!!! The drum covers are really neat. There's probably a market out there for just that sort of thing! Hang in there on that 16" -- you're closer than you were!

Very cool Suz! Very cool. I hope to have some finished objects in the next few weeks but don't hold your breath. Most of my stuff that I have on the needles is like Debs vest. IT just NEVER FRICKIN' ends! Of course, the projects are for me LOL and I want them done done done done yesterday done so that might have something to do with it. The drum covers rock girl, seriously.

Glad you like the yarn!! To Cookie's comment, there is a list kept of people who "flake" and they usually are not allowed to rejoin.

The drum covers look wicked cool! Looks like you've been busy with the knitting and I have been such a serious slacker. Oh well the weather is cooling here that ought to stir up my knitting urges.

Linked here from Arleta's blog (hi!)
I simply must know where you got the pattern for those drum covers - I know some friends who would LOVE those.

Thanks!
