My Warped Humor

Ok, so clearly there's not been much blogging going on around here. Deb's been blogging more...i know, huge shock!

She got a 96 on the test she took for her EMT class this past week. I'm so proud of her!

A few weeks ago, Deb agreed to give a friend of hers a ride to the DC area. I took a few interesting photos along the way.

We were stuck in traffic behind this bus, would you ride it?

Here, look a little closer...

I would so NOT ride this bus. I mean, for goodness sake, it advertises right on it that it's late! L8, get it? Ok. Ok, i'll move along.

I also ran across this sign, which i thought was a very strange combination...

I knew i tasted something strange in that last slice of cake i had!

Ok, that's all for now. I'm off to bed. Knitting group tomorrow!!

I Caved

To the cuteness. I couldn't help it. I mean really, you'd have to be super human to not cave to this item.

(Becky, you should stop reading now if you want to be surprised!)

Is she gone yet? I'll wait....

Ok. So the kit of cuteness that i was on a waiting list for, finally arrived from Threadbear Fiber Arts. Oh. My. Goddess! I'm getting ready to start the third color and the sleeves and it's so much fun. Who knew? Oh sure, it looked like fun when The Harlot blogged about it and then by the time i saw it for the umpteenth time on T's - Keyboard Biologist blog, well...i was doomed. Doomed to add my name to a wait list.

Here's a clue...

Do you know what it is?

Here, maybe this will help...

Oh, isn't it sweet? I'm on the fourth color, more pics to come.

Help Find Steve Fossett

No, really!

Amazon Mechanical Turk through Google Earth is allowing web browsers to help with the search by viewing new satellite images.

I signed on last night, in the wee hours and it's dry work...but, who knows, it could be helpful.

In other news, it's raining here today. Yes!! This excites me because it means some cooler temps and i'm all for that.

I know this is a lame post, so sue me!

Go shop!

Since i've basically got nothing...go visit Dave's Cabin Cove Mercantile. He's stocked it up with all sorts of new goodies. He's been a very busy boy. Hand dyed roving, hand dyed yarns, hand spun and hand dyed yarns, gorgeous greeting cards made with some of his most amazing photography. Really, go have a look, you won't be disappointed!

And, let's discuss this...

When in the world did Bon Jovi and The Eagles become "country" music? You don't believe me? Turn on CMT for a while and watch, they both have new videos out. Weren't they considered to be in the "rock" genre at one point? Ya know, before hip hop and rap took over everything?!

Discuss.
